Samsung Electronics Australia continues to strengthen its portable MP3 player range. The latest addition is the YP-S3, a video MP3 player that’s available in pink, white, blue and black and comes with a 176×220 pixel LCD screen. Unlike some MP3 portables, Samsung’s S3 comes with a simple ‘drop and drag’ music transfer tool as well as Media Studio software. ‘Samsung has continually produced impressive and competitive MP3 products for the current market and the S3 is step further in offering consumers versatility, style and performance all in one simple device,’ says Lisa Findlay, Product Manager MP3, Samsung Electronics Australia.
The YP-S3 claims improved sound quality through the use of Samsung’s proprietary DNSe 2.0 and EQ settings. Playable file formats include MP3, WMA, OGG, MPEG4, JPG and TXT. There are three different YP-S3 models available, which vary only in storage size and price. The 2GB version has an RRP of $119. The other YP-S3 models retail for $149 (4GB) and $209 (8GB).
