As wonderful as they are, even the most advanced of Car MP3 players, USB MP3 players and other players can break down from time to time. However, this doesn’t necessarily mean that a replacement is needed.
Ahead of anything else, the battery should be checked. As silly as this sounds, there are many instances when a failed battery has been the issue! Fully charge it overnight, and then try again.
Should this still not work, a new battery could be tried. Rather than wasting money only to find this doesn’t resolve the issue however, try and loan one to see if it is the problem. Many a store will let you check this, whilst friends are hopefully also on hand to help!
Many a problem seems to occur with the USB connectivity but, quite apart from being the players fault; it could be to do with the USB port or the lead. Firstly, connect another device to the port, if this doesn’t work either you could try switching leads around; but it is likely the port has failed.
USB ports can often be fixed simply be reinstalling the drivers from the control panel of your computer. If this does not work, you could of course have the USB ports looked at and replaced, or maybe by a hub and connect to a working port.
All other connections should be thoroughly checked too including; headphones, USB port and so on. Nothing should be loose when connected, and should be clear of dust and debris.
Should the issue continue with the car MP3 players, USB MP3 players or whatever; the final thing to try would be to reformat the drive. This will wipe all music, but will be cheaper than buying a new device and will hopefully not take too long to restore all your files; as long as they are backed up somewhere else of course!
